Narrated by Golden Globe-winning actress Jessica Chastain (The Eyes of Tammy Faye, Molly’s Game), it reveals a complex, fascinating woman who took on power brokers in Hollywood and courageously challenged the misogyny of 1950’s America, all while beating the odds to succeed in a man’s world.
Only a few short years after her first audition at a Hollywood studio, she co-wrote an article exposing the bad behaviour of studio executives and warning other women about ‘wolves’ in the industry. By posing nude, she kickstarted a change in attitude towards female sexuality. While her untimely death was tragic, her story is not. And Marilyn’s story isn’t just the story of one woman – it is the story of every woman.
