Shark Tank returning to 10

Business reality format is heading back to 10 after a 5 year absence.

Shark Tank is returning to 10 after a 5 year absence.

As previously hinted, the series is currently looking for new entrepreneurs with business ideas.

Shark Tank brings together five business superstars, who are ready to put their own cash on the line and turn the next big idea into a profitable venture.

“If you’re a budding entrepreneur with a great business idea and want to take a chance to change your life, casting is now open.

“It could be the most important pitch of your life. Are you ready to enter the Tank and face our Sharks?”

The series last screened in 2018 with ‘Sharks’ including Steve Baxter, Janine Allis, Andrew Banks, Naomi Simson, Glen Richards but the new cast is yet to be confirmed. Janine Allis is set to appear on Gordan Ramsay’s Food Stars on Nine.

Shark Tank is based on the Dragons’ Den format owned by Japan’s Nippon TV and distributed by Sony Pictures Television. It will be produced for Network 10 by SPT’s Curio Pictures.

It will screen later this year.

  1. Great to see Shark Tank returning! Potentially a lot of interesting projects and ideas ready to take the next step after the world has been flipped on its head these last few years.

  2. I’m keen for another season! It was always a solid, if not spectacular, ratings performer. I agree with Tomothyd that the last season’s double episodes may have hurt its popularity. Have enjoyed the Shark castings so far,. It’d be great to have Janine in.

  3. Great news!! Finally a programming decision from 10 that I agree with. I just hope they don’t cram it in between the end of one tent pole show and the next like last season when they showed two episodes a week giving viewer fatigue.
Hope they get a good selection of Sharks that are entertaining like the last batch.

  4. It would be interesting if they could get Melanie Perkins (Canva) or Mike Cannon-Brookes (Atlassian) as sharks. They’d both have the appetite I think. Could end up with more billionaires than the US one. Malcolm Turnbull also likes throwing money at startups.

  5. I used to like this show

I hope with this new iteration, they have a good hosts and worthy investors that are actually good entrepreneurs to invest their money
