SKY News: Royal Coronation

Peter Stefanovic will be in the UK for Live SKY News coverage of the Coronation of King Charles III and Queen Camilla , along with reporters Jonathan Lea and Danica De Giorgio.

SKY News UK hosts will commentate the Coronation ceremony from 5pm AEST on May 6th.

King Charles III will be crowned as Monarch at Westminster Abbey, the setting for every Coronation since 1066. This will be the third Coronation in British history to be broadcast publicly, with King George VI’s the first to be broadcast via radio and Queen Elizabeth II’s being the first to be televised 70 years ago in 1953.

In the week leading up to the big event, Sky News First Edition Anchor Peter Stefanovic and Sky News Reporters Jonathan Lea and Danica De Giorgio will be reporting live from Buckingham Palace, with the latest updates, as well as speaking to key royal commentators and insiders.

On the eve of the Coronation, Friday 5 May, Sky News will air two specials back-to-back. At 8:00pm AEST tune into The Royal Report: Coronation Special, followed by a new documentary Born To Be King at 9:00pm AEST, featuring unique archival footage revealing the life, loves and passions of King Charles III.

On Saturday 6 May, join Peter Stefanovic from 4:00pm AEST for The Coronation special coverage, live from Westminster Abbey as distinguished guests, international royal families and the British Royals start arriving for the ceremony.

From 5:00pm AEST we’ll cross to our Sky News UK colleagues Kay Burley and Anna Botting who will host coverage of the historic event alongside Sky News UK royal events commentator Alastair Bruce, whose unrivalled knowledge of the event will guide viewers through the historic ceremonial proceedings.

The Coronation ceremony will air live from 8:00pm AEST.

On Sunday May 7, Sky News will have an encore of The Coronation ceremony at midday and will produce a special edition of The Royal Report that focuses on a wrap up of the weekend’s event, hosted by Caroline Di Russo.
