  1. No doubt my opinion will bring the wrath of ‘Terminator’ fans but maybe it’s time for Arnold to retire from action roles his latest Netflix series Fubar features the familiar self depreciating humour but I stopped watching his stunt double halfway through episode one. Having said that apparently Mr. Schwarzenegger still lifts large weights in the gym and was lobbying to star in another Conan the Barbarian role ‘The Legend of Conan’ but his less than thriving movie career post politics put a stop to the idea, he could not find a backer for the $150 million budget. There is some irony that even Netflix had aspiration to make a Conan series with Steven S. DeKnight as one of the showrunners, Steven later fell out with Netflix and dropped the series. The concept for Conan was taken over by Ted Biacelli but the creative owners of the Conan character Heroic Signatures knew Biacelli’s past history and took the show away to be hopefully made by others more appreciative of the Conan canon.

    1. He’s hardly the only Hollywood action star who’s realistically well ‘past it’ but still trying it on-both he and Stallone have tried other types of roles in more recent years to extend their ranges and there’s no doubt that Arnold is a much better actor now than the wooden mannequin he was in ‘Terminator’ and ‘Conan’. Perhaps he should consider doing a Terry Pratchett Discworld Coen the superannuated Barbarian film?
