Airdate: Women’s State of Origin 2023

Women's State of Origin has expanded to a two-game series this year.

Nine screens the 2023 Women’s State of Origin I from Sydney on this Thursday, with a second game in late June.

Nine’s coverage is hosted by Danika Mason with experts Phil Gould, Allana Ferguson, Darren Lockyer, commentator Peter Psaltis, and Emma Lawrence on the sideline.

Expanding to a two-game series this year, the women’s game will continue its rise on the 9Network when both fixtures are played in prime time on June 1 and June 22.

Lining up for the New South Wales Blues to defend their title are NRLW stars Millie Boyle, Emma Tonegato, Isabelle Kelly, Jessica Sergis, and rising star Jesse Southwell.

Maroons stalwart Ali Brigginshaw will lead Queensland in a fierce battle where their backline weapons Tamika Upton and Zahara Temara can provide the points needed to win the series, which is decided on a points aggregate basis.

  1. As I turned on the TV, the Perth EPG showed that the Women’s State of Origin Game I was scheduled at 5:30 PM (AWST) on 9GEM. I believe that this was an error there. I’m not sure about Game 2, but I expect the Women’s Game to be shown on 9GEM in southern states.
