Friday Flashback: Sunrise moves to Brekky Central.

Back in 2004 Sunrise moved from Seven's Epping studios to Martin Place, aka Brekky Central.

This week David Koch announced his departure from Sunrise after 21 years.

Back in 2004 the show moved from Seven’s Epping studios to its shiny new home at Martin Place, where it became known as Brekky Central.

Job well done Kochie!

  1. I think having the audiences and visitors in the background is good. With ABC, you could often see the studio tours taking place in the background. It gives the sense of a living network. It works great in New York City where they show the audiences at Times Square during the morning shows, or grooving along to the latest chart hits on stage.

If breakfast TV wants to be important, it’s got to relate with what the audiences want to see. You think audiences want to see repetitive news and desperate gimmicks with prize competitions to keep us watching? You only need prizes to maintain viewers if you’re desperate.

You won’t get that vibe on the railway yards at Eveleigh.
