US late night hosts Stephen Colbert, Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel, Seth Meyers, and John Oliver are bonding together as the US strikes stretch on.
All five hosts have been meeting weekly via Zoom, and are set to share the contents as a podcast, in support of their out of work crews.
The limited-series podcast, Strike Force Five, is expected to run for at least 12 episodes, and all the hosts will participate in every installment, in “hilarious and compelling conversations.” Sponsorship by Mint Mobile and Aviation American Gin owner Diageo is being promised to assist out-of-work staff.
Fallon and Meyers have previously dipped into their own pockets to support their unemployed crews for an extra week beyond the two-week pay that NBC offered.
The camaraderie among the group apparently extends back to at least the pandemic, when all the late-night shows had to deal with unprecedented production challenges.

I listened to the first episode today and it was so great to hear from them all again. I feel like I’ve barely received any current affairs from the US since the strike began. We certainly learned a lot about Stephen Colberts mother in the first ep…
This is music to my ears! (See my post in the lounge from earlier this week for context)
