  1. Thank you for your reply. The new system still confuses me. (I still prefer the former system ie the most recent). Re the now, I just remove the ‘specials’ ie not ‘regulars’ to sort of guage it. Not surprised The Summit rates well. Eurovision rated twice in all three sections. Not surprisingly including the youngest demographic. What is the third column? Will we here get to see Midwife S14 Christmas Special when its due? ie before our ABC loses the rights to show it? Im hoping we do see Season 13 very very soon too. It ended in US yesterday. (I saw it via the UK replay of DailyMotion) but want to see it on free to air broadcast tv).

    1. Yes I realise info is not ideal but there are limitations on the assets I am given. Third column is BVOD only (which is a break out of column 2 linear + BVOD). CTM is always BBC First and ABC about a year later.

  2. Ive been nervous re these ratings. Such strong competition with the coveted 7.30pm timeslot, and even though Call the Midwife ‘only’ rated in the overall ratings, it still rated well at 13., with 870,000; 486,000; 14,000. Eurovision Final; Spotlight featuring device addiction for kids,(albeit it was from 8.30); especially teens; NRL; Masterchef; and the launch of The Summit. Call the Midwifes main topic also featured a newborns dad descending? into fullblown schizophrenia and knifing the show minister/social worker. Kudos to the actor portraying the new dad. The other main story was the doctors wife, nurse/midwife Shelagh (the former nun Sr. Bernadette of S1/2), fearing she was pregnant again. With giving birth with only biological child and fearing she may miscarry, she dosnt want to give birth again. Am hoping Call the Midwife returns to two ratings sections next week. It started out rating all three sections, and since then rates one or two. This was ep 5 of 8.

    1. It was fourth behind The Summit but still in the mix. Reach number in first column is really only relevant for longer broadcasts such as Eurovision that get disadvantaged somewhat by the Average in column 2.
