How does it feel to be a Gold Logie nominee for 2024?
JM: It feels exactly how you think it would feel. It is surreal. I started on Australian TV in 1985. Could this be the year I take home my first ever Logie?
What’s been the highlight of your TV work over the past year?
JM: Highlights? Getting to work alongside my dear friend Robert Irwin has been more of a life highlight. Work highlight, of course, is still having a job.
Give us your best campaign lobbying… why should viewers vote for you?
JM: Honestly, I am no more deserving than any of the other nominees. I would love to win the Gold, but I only have to wait about another 3 years and I will be considered for the Hall of Fame. I would love to have any Logie, no matter what the colour.
If you should be lucky enough to win, where will the award go?
JM: On a (to be) purpose built plinth at the front door of my private home. I may take it on a trip around the world, like the Melbourne Cup. Break out the cotton gloves guys.
If not you… then who?
JM: Robert. Because I am not just comfortable in the spotlight I also love refracted light.

I feel Julia Morris has become stale and same old same old. A dated delivery of jokes and scripts. Hoping they replace her on Celeb with a younger female to compliment Robert Irwin and hopefully give the show some longevity into the future and perhaps jag any younger viewers that still know what FTA TV is and that follow Robert.
Julia Morris is funny and does great hosting the celebrity jungle show. I prefer Julia Zemiro. How come she’s never received Gold Logie nomination? Rockwiz, Home Delivery and Fisk both entertaining programs. Dr Chris Brown deserves the nod more than Robert Irwin.
I used to enjoy her when she was on Full Frontal but I think she whether she was hosting I’m A Celebrity with Chris Brown or Robert Irwin she was all wrong for the program…..
i reckon she and Dr Chris Brown were an ideal pairing. I didn’t really catch a lot of this latest series but from what I did see, her and Robert Irwin seemed to work well together.
If you look at other pairing of presenters it to me didn’t gel as well as other combinations of presenters.
Nope
Julia is great on I’m a Celeb and has earned her tv stripes on multiple tv roles over the years, but like most celebs I think ego has got the better of her. When Julia called out Lyn and said she should know better I thought what a joke – at least Lyn is being honest!! Robert (who I like and did well on his first season) should be up for ‘Best New Talent’ and Julia knows that, has Chris Brown ever been up for gold after years of hosting the show and other shows for 10?! Too soon for Robert and this sort of thing just makes our tv industry look silly. I guess 10 don’t have many options anymore.
Robert is not eligible for New Talent having had multiple series on Subscription TV as talent. His hosting on IAC was outstanding, it’s up to judges who makes the cut based on network submissions.
Irwin was already nominated for Most Popular Male New Talent in 2013, for a show called “Steve Iran’s Wildlife Warriors”. Probably a minor role back then, I’d imagine
Who is Lyn and what was the story?
Lynne McGranger (Irene from Home & Away) said “I’m sorry but ol’mate Irwin has been on telly for a bloody minute!! No disrespect intended,” she commented alongside the hashtag ‘Lazforgold’.
“Are you starting an internet feud Lynne?” Larry jokingly responded, to which Lynne wrote back, “Could be honey”.
shes not funny and no one cares about the logies kids wouldnt even know what they are the logies should have stopped 25 years ago
