7 has been smart this year by keeping the front bar at the same time in all markets and it’s held the audience really well and maybe help the exposure of AFL into nsw & qld.
Also smart in keeping the comedy Wednesday by not moving front bar to Thursdays after the afl finished its Thursday fixtures 2-3 weeks ago.
Agree with above – 7’s strategy in keeping Wednesday Front Bar as a staple (Team Ann aren’t part of the show structure.
‘Leets be real’ though, 7 is getting a bad beat against Tipping Point, not only has replacing HS created an all round win 5-6pm, but also News in all states getting a major bump means the worm has turned. 7 has atleast tried while losing against TP, they attempted Double Trouble, *New US Chaser, *New AU Chaser – but to shine up a stale product, they are indeed losing the race. I’d suggest the 2-3+ repeats per week has caught up with them.
People seem to forget that the Chase Australia premiered on Monday September 14, 2015 and obliterated Hot Seat in the ratings from day one. In short, The Chase Australia had nine years of ratings dominance. Yes, it’s losing to Tipping Point but given Nine’s arrogance, no way on God’s earth will Tipping Point Australia sustain its lead as long as The Chase Australia. Just like Nine’s other successes, Tipping Point’s novelty factor will wear off. Again, while Nine News is experiencing a resurgence, Nine have languished behind Seven at 7:30pm since Married at First Sight finished. It’s impossible to overlook duds such as The Summit, Gordon Ramsay’s Food Stars and even Do You Want To Live Forever. Seven will win this year and quite convincingly.
