On Hiatus

Now the Games are officially underway, TV Tonight is taking a brief respite.

With the Olympics starting gun now fired, TV Tonight is taking a mid year Hiatus (the first in 5 years) for 2 weeks.

The site will still publish across News, Programming, Subscription etc. Monday to Friday and as usual keeping an eye on Breaking News. There will be limited posts on weekends.

Please note there will be some delays to Comments, Ratings, Calendar, Reviews.

Daily Olympic highlights will be posted around the same time as Ratings.

Next week also marks a Nostalgia Week for the site with 5 deep dive interviews, as TV faces reflect on careers, with some stories published for the first time (including one of the most remarkable interviews I’ve done in some time).

TV Tonight Newsletter is also taking a break but returns on August 16 with a sleek, refreshed look. This will mark 10 years of site newsletters.

Your patience is appreciated during this time!

Thanks, David.

  1. Thanks, David. It’s good to have a break. I know it’s not easy to deal with everything that goes on in the media world nowadays and coping, and it can be quite taxing. You know it does my head in sometimes as well. I think a hiatus is well deserved. I appreciate your contributions and understanding.

The good thing is nowadays, it could be considered to be one of the golden eras for TV, with so much content and technological advances, so it is a good time to relax and enjoy the good things that TV has to offer.

  2. Rather coincidentally, the Michael Keaton & Al Pacino movie ‘Knox Goes Away’ began streaming on exactly the same day – if only in America!

  3. Well deserved! Enjoy your rest Knoxy 🙂 PS: But given the Olympics, hope you’ll still be posting on it… As I feel you were all over Tokyo 2020 for Seven, so a bit unfair for Nine, especially if they rate really well.
