Returning: Sesame Street

S54 guests include Dan Levy, Ariana DeBose, Brandi Carlile and more.

Sesame Street’s 54th season will debut on  ABC Kids next week.

Special guests include actor Dan Levy (Schitt’s Creek), actress Ariana DeBose (West Side Story), actress Quinta Brunson (Abbott Elementary), singer Brandi Carlile, Kal Penn (House, Designated Survivor and Harold & Kumar) and Eugene Cordero (Star Trek: Lower Decks) who join for Street Stories, songs, and other segments.

Feature episodes include:

  • Proud of My Name where Rosita feels frustrated when her basketball coach shortens her name and her friends Elmo and Gabrielle encourage her to tell the coach that she wants to be called “Rosita” as she is proud of her name.
  • The Oct-Dough-Pus in which Grover and his friend the octopus learn that families all over the world make bread in different kinds of ways, shapes, and sizes.
  • Sesame Street Song Day where Mia learns how to sing “Heads, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes” in Spanish with help from her friends Nina, Rosita, and Lalo.

Weekdays from 9:30am Monday, July 15th on ABC Kids.

    This is so my childhood….

    Imagine the day that someone decided to axe Sesame Street, that would be a terrible day
    Should be part of US law that it’s always funded for however long they want to continue producing episodes

  2. I watched Sesame Street as a child.

    The teaching methods employed by the show enabled me to learn the alphabet and counting methods better and quicker than primary school.

    The presenters “Susan”, “Bob” and “Mr Hooper” were cool. So too were “Big Bird”, “Oscar”, “The Count” and “Grover”.

    On top of that the learning environment was inclusive and much better than that evil divisive catholic school I attended.

    Full marks to a really great show.
