Tipping Point, Home & Away top Thursday entertainment.

Not much split Seven and Nine on Thursday night.

Seven and Nine were neck and neck in shares on Thursday, with less than 1% giving the night to Seven.

Tipping Point topped entertainment at 777,000 defeating The Chase (629,000) in National TV Audience.

An extended Home & Away was next at 751,000.

7:30 drew 638,000 with Taskmaster Australia at 397,000.

NRL topped sport at 628,000 then Wimbledon (222,000 / 116,000) and Tour de France (207,000).

Seven News was #1 at 1.35m. Britain’s Got Talent was 300,000.

Nine News averaged 1.18m then A Current Affair (1.02m). RBT was 269,000 in select cities with McEnroe at 85,000.

ABC News was 847,000. Grand Designs Revisited (420,000), Hard Quiz (362,000), Grand Designs: The Street (325,000) and Antiques Roadshow (246,000) followed.

10 News First drew 338,000 for 10 then The Project (331,000) and Deal or No Deal (321,000). Law & Order: SVU managed 175,000 / 146,000.

On SBS it was SBS World News (186,000 / 132,000), Guillaume’s French Atlantic (126,000) and Mastermind (96,000).

The Morning Show: 254,000 / 267,000
Today Extra: 183,000 / 128,000

  1. Tipping Point pulling away from the Chase….is this more because The Chase has so many repeats or more people attracted to the new shiny thing? I would be surprised if TP was actually stealing Chase viewers across.

  2. If Home & Away is rating well then why is the actor behind Lewi the soaps only Logie nomination? How many viewers is Young Sheldon getting?

  3. David, does H&A being coded as one show (it’s 3 back to back on THU I think) drag down the overnight ratings for at least the first offering? Impressive win for seven given no sport. I am guessing their multi channels continue to make a meaningful difference.

    1. It is one number across three episodes. Broadly speaking a longer broadcast will result in a lower average than say 30 mins, because not everybody usually stays to the end. In 2024 there was some agreement to dispense with splitting of numbers, although not every show has joined in.
