Airdate: Made in Bondi

Noisy, beachside reality show gets its local adaptation premiere next week on Seven.

Made in Bondi, a local version of UK reality series, premieres next week on Seven as it showcases the lives and loves of young socialites in Sydney’s eastern suburbs.

The cast includes a mix of mostly Australian and some British reality talent.

The series from the producers of Made in Chelsea is co-produced by Matchbox Pictures and Monkey for Seven Network and Channel 4.

In episode one, jewellery designer and Eastern Suburbs princess Emma is gearing up for her latest product launch with her brand, Emma Pills, and everyone is invited to her opulent harbour-side mansion.

Influencer Lachy is there with his friends, Harley and drop-dead gorgeous model Isabella.

Emma’s go-to Sydney stylist Paul and his ultra-fabulous friend, PR agent Billy, are there too.

Besties since childhood, Molly and Pippa are at Emma’s party waiting for Molly’s new model boyfriend, Lawson, to arrive.

Flanked by his wingman and restaurant heir, Charlie, Lawson wastes no time in planting a steamy kiss on Molly. It’s been three months since they last laid eyes on each other, and a pulsating chemistry is rekindled. But Lawson’s long-time ex, content creator Bella, is also there with her BFF Kayla, who clock the new couple and find it all a bit too much to take.

As a rumour swirls that Lawson is only “playing” with Molly, prompting tense conversations for the newly minted couple, will new romance survive Sydney’s summer?

The format is distributed globally by NBCUniversal Formats, which is also part of Universal International Studios, a division of Universal Studio Group. NBCUniversal Global TV Distribution handle international sales of the series.

9.00pm, 20 August on Seven.

  1. Well lets see if this is as successful for Channel 7 as Byron Bae (or what ever it was called was) was for Netflix …… just banish it to 7two …..

    1. I would’ve wanted Made in Bondi to be bumped to 7Bravo, a multichannel not available in all markets but otherwise where it’d fit better alongside some other trashy programs.

Aside from that, the only good things that may come out of this show are the Goggleboxers ripping Made in Bondi to shreds and a feeling of satisfaction if The Assembly (debuting on ABC-TV and iView the same night, and *promising* to be Australian TV’s Show of The Year…) manages to receive more viewers.
