It may not have formally been part of Network 10’s 2025 Upfront renewals this week, but producers have confirmed Thank God You’re Here is returning.
On Instagram, Working Dog confirmed, “We’re so excited that Have You Been Paying Attention?, The Cheap Seats and Thank God You’re Here will be returning to Channel 10 in 2025.”
Great news!
So why was it not included as part of the 2025 renewals?
10 did include it as part of current shows, but perhaps the contracts for 2025 had not been finalised. It’s one of their top performers right now so its future was hardly in doubt.
Similarly other shows that are freshly on air / completed (Hunted, The Amazing Race Australia: Celebrity Edition) / upcoming (Dessert Masters, Shark Tank), are also in the “too soon” decision basket.
10 was contacted for comment.

Yay to this! I was getting tetchy as to whether it would return; but great news. I love this show. But, could they open it up to a few more performers? Repeating guests within an eight or ten ep batch is not the most riveting of casting. There’s lots of performers out there and as Virginia Gay displayed, actors from stage and screen can hold their own just as well as the stand ups or improv performers. But i quibble. I’d watch anybody anytime on this.
The reason the show was cancelled previously was due to lack of available talent. It wasn’t due to ratings. That should be noted as shows usually fail due to ratings. It’s an opportunity for celebrities to put their hand up and say I’m willing to give it a go. They need the cast after all.
Still in parts is funny but mostly the standard of comedic talent is not great
Thank god for that! In fact why not double the episode order for the renewed season and get more of those strong improv performers who you don’t see on comedy or panels shows as often who always shine so bright on the show?
I think that’s good as there needs to be a space for improvisation comedy. It’s
an established genre now.
