Returning: Survivor (US)

Season 47 is fast-tracked to 9GO! next week.

Survivor (US) 47 will again be fast-tracked by 9GO! next week.

It begins with a 2 hour (ugh) premiere before it resumes as 90 minute episodes.

The opening “Sweat vs Savvy,” challenge, which invariably takes place after teams hit the beach, has a variation this season, no surprise given castaways have failed it repeatedly.

This sees castaways choose between participating in physical or mental challenge to earn a pot, flint, and machete.

Host Jeff Probst told Entertainment Weekly, longtime Survivor they have “evolved ‘Sweat vs Savvy’ into something a little different this season.”

“It’s the same goal, which is to earn tribe supplies for your camp, but the method for doing it is very different. It’s a nice, fresh idea. It’s fun to watch, very fun for the player to do.”

7:30pm Thursday September 19 on 9GO!

  1. Haven’t watched the series since it was moved to Go! Because it doesn’t provide closed captioning for those who are hearing impaired like me. A shame.

    1. Totally agree. I haven’t seen it either as there are no closed captions for deaf people. As I said why can’t they use the USA captions here in Australia. I watch Family Feud on channel 10 and they use the USA captions so I fail to see why GO can’t do the same.

  2. Jon Lovett (top left, back row) is a speechwriter turned successful podcaster and was given quite a bit of sh*t from his collages when they found out he was on this season of Survivor cause Jon definitely is the opposite of your typical Survivor cast member.

It will be interesting to watch him in this.

  3. Love Survivor, but haven’t watched it since Channel 9 moved it to GO.. That became i cannot understand what’s going on without Closed Captions. I know the program is Closed Captioned in USA but can’t understand why those closed captions can’t be used in Australia.
