The Netherlands, Finland and Norway have picked up format rights to The Summit, the series co-created by Endemol Shine Australia and Nine Network.
RTL in the Netherlands, MTV in Finland and TV2 in Norway will all make local versions of the reality series in which contestants scale a mountain carrying cash in their backpacks, but face a series of endurance challenges and trust dilemmas.
Nine has screened two seasons hosted by Jai Courtney in New Zealand.
A US version, hosted by NZ actor Manu Bennett (Spartacus, Arrow) debuted last week, while another version is also set for Sweden.
Lucas Green, Banijay’s Chief Content Officer for Operations, said The Summit is “quickly emerging as our next generation superbrand.”
Endemol Shine Nederland, Banijay Finland and Mastiff Norway will produce the series for their respective countries.
Nine is yet to confirm a third season, with its 2025 Upfronts due on October 24.
