Oops. The Project issues apology over edit.

"Our story on a rally in Melbourne included a few seconds of footage from a different protest altogether."

The Project last night issued an apology after Media Watch asked them about protest footage they ran on Sunday which suggested the pro-Palestinian rallies were violent.

The Sunday Project edited in the anti-war expo footage from last month into their package which included riot squads.

Last night Sarah Harris told viewers, “Before we go to break, we need to correct an error that went to air on Sunday night.

“Our story on a rally in Melbourne included a few seconds of footage from a different protest altogether. This was a mistake, and risked mischaracterising the events of the day, and should never have happened. It was not deliberate.

“We apologise and we’re reviewing processes to make sure it does not happen again.”
