Former renovators on The Block Eliza and Liberty Paschke are guest presenters on Victorian travel series Postcards this weekend.
Guest presenters Eliza and Liberty Paschke are in Footscray checking out the food scene (Boonwurrung and Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung Country). They enjoy some hot moreish pies at Pie Thief on Barkly Street, before heading to Footscray’s latest Japanese hotspot, Elka Sushi. The sisters then head to Moon Dog Wild West to meet co-founder Karl Van Buuren over cocktails.
Brodie Harper is in West Melbourne (Boonwurrung and Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung Country). She checks out the latest exhibition at West End Art Space before a bite to eat at Angkor Cafe & Restaurant, which serves up home-style Cambodian food inspired by the dishes owner Neri Herrmann grew up eating. Then it’s off to Lukumades for Greek doughnuts.
We find Shane Delia in Adelaide (Kaurna Country), sampling the famous wines of McLaren Vale. To get around he tries out Trail Hopper, Adelaide’s only hop-on, hop-off tour service that showcases South Australia’s wine regions. After a tasting at one of the largest wineries, d’Arenberg, he heads to the oldest winery in the region, Kay Brothers Winery and Cellar Door. Back in the city, he checks into the luxurious Vibe Hotel for dinner at its signature Storehouse Flinders East restaurant.
And Lauren Phillips is in the CBD visiting the new Accidentally Wes Anderson exhibition for an insight into the life of the famous film director (Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung Country). After stepping into his quirky world, Lauren goes to The Budapest Cafe, a vibrant tribute to the filmmaker’s style named after his Oscar-winning film, The Grand Budapest Hotel. She ends her day with a sweet treat at Madeleine de Proust Patisserie.
5.30pm Sunday on Nine (Melbourne).
