  1. i didn’t know about that search by date tool either.the way you’ve set this site up,archived everything is really almost absurd david..i dunno if we deserve this tbh.when did you start the site, david…you remember?…i think i’ll go back and check some old ratings.

    1. I take it that was a compliment… 2007. Teh site has always endeavoured to be as self serve as I can make it. A lot of the time when readers ask a question I just hit Search or Tags. So it’s very easy for users to do the same. Re ratings: don’t forget OzTAM ordered me to delete a lot of archival, which I wrote about at the time.

      1. o i didn’t know that either…made you delete a lot of your archives…smh…i’ll give it a go and see what i can come up with.i seem to remember for a while you’d give us top 40 or 50 in ratings..hope some of that is still on here.and yeah..it was a compliment…and the fact you do this site on your own…well like i said…absurd, whacky…pick a name for it..maybe oustanding would be better.

      1. David, don’t know where are the dates on the Search, how do you search the Dates.?
Always wanting the Best Improvements, why isn’t there ann option using the Calendar Date that searches much better, faster & easier..
People with a Visual Impaired is hard & a Calendar Date listed would be much more appreciated.. Thanks!
Here’s a link to give you an idea what I mean.! Click where it shows the Date and the Calendar box pops up fast!

        1. Enter in the date you are looking for ie. Thursday 3 August 2023. It will get you the results in seconds, you can’t get faster than that. With respect OzTAM deletes access to archival ratings after a fairly short period, TVT does not. Hope that helps.

          1. Ok David thanks.
But still the Calendar Date is faster.. You Click and the Calendar has all the Dates listed VS you have to search the date one by one and how would you even know what the Numbered Day was for Getaway in 2022 for Example, if you have the Calendar it would show you all the 7 Days with the Number so you can check it really fast.!!
Anyways you can ask what the people/readers think on your next question poll, would be pretty obvious & interesting to see what they think.
            Cheers!

          2. Thanks for feedback. A Calendar grid approach would bring up every post published on that day, so really no quicker. There are always limitations but it’s seconds at the moment to take you to the date you seek and I’m comfortable with that.

  2. What’s with 7 and “The Latest”? Seems to air now and then. Tonight, not last night, not tomorrow night, etc. Are they relying on their stars gazer to predict when there will be some new news?

    1. Agree, it’s really disappointing to see the sloopy scheduling commitment from 7. Used to be a great news product but the move to Perth and ever changing line up of presenters has impacted the quality and feel.

    2. According to last night’s Media Watch, 7 News has now gone one better.

7’s news fact checkers now have a man who can stop droughts and make it rain.
