2024 AFL Women’s Finals Series on Seven

North Melbourne Tasmanian Kangaroos meet Adelaide Crowson Friday as Finals begin.

7mate begins coverage of the 2024 AFL Women’s Finals from tomorrow night.

The commentary team features Erin Phillips, Abbey Holmes, Kate McCarthy, Alister Nicholson, Jo Wotton, Nigel Carmody, Alicia Eva and Sarah Olle, as well as 7NEWS sport reporters Kate Massey and Emily Beaton.

The Finals Series kicks off on Friday night when minor premiers the North Melbourne Tasmanian Kangaroos face the Adelaide Crows in a qualifying final at Ikon Park. The live and free coverage of Qualifying Final One starts at 7.00pm AEDT on 7mate and 7plus Sport.

Then, on Saturday night, Fremantle will host its first home final since 2020, when they face Essendon in a do-or-die elimination final at Fremantle Oval from 6.30pm AEDT, live and free on 7mate and 7plus Sport.

On Sunday, footy fans will enjoy an epic double-header featuring:

Hawthorn v Brisbane Lions in Elimination Final Two at Ikon Park from 1.00pm AEDT on Channel 7, 7mate and 7plus Sport
Port Adelaide v Richmond Elimination Final Two at Alberton Oval from 3.00pm AEDT on Channel 7, 7mate and 7plus Sport.

Following a highly anticipated first week of finals, Seven’s Abbey Holmes and Kate McCarthy will return for Talking W from 4.30pm AEDT Monday on 7mate and 7.00pm AEDT on 7plus Sport.

Joined by former Melbourne and North Melbourne forward Ben Brown, the hosts will dissect the biggest stories heading into week two of the Finals Series, while casting a spotlight on the most prominent headlines from the first week of finals.

  1. I think one of the Sunday matches may be a Qualifying Final and not an Elimination Final (Qualifying Finals, in case you are not aware, are not sudden death matches, but it decides who gets a bye to Week 3).
