Seven has released a first promo for Australian Idol 2025 inspired by Marcia Hines’ 1976 version of I’ve Got the Music in Me, reproduced by DJ Sgt Slick.
“I’m overjoyed to be working with my dear friend and brother, Sgt Slick,” said Marcia. “I couldn’t be happier with how he’s brought new life and energy to my song.
“This is such a special moment, especially as we celebrate the incredible young talent coming through on Australian Idol. I can’t wait to see where their journeys take them.”
Australian Idol returns to Seven three nights a week in the new year.

Oh dear……………………..
This is not cool. Quite the opposite. They all look so uncomfortable
what an awesome promo
Of all the promos for Australian Idol both during the Channel Ten days and three seasons across Channel Seven, this is the finest. If I were into cricket, I would delight in having this beautiful promo played out during every commercial break. Channel Seven, the only network with the intellect and wisdom to take an existing product and alpha dog it. Well done.
This would have to be without a doubt one of the worst promos I have ever seen for a show….
That is one of the worst promos I have ever seen
Good luck to everyone watching the cricket who are going to have this assault their eyeballs in every ad break.
What a cringe worthy shocker of an ad!! Is that the best 7 can come up with?
