Upheaval in AFL poaching continues with Sports Entertainment Network CEO and former Footy Classified host Craig Hutchison to host Seven’s new AFL news and opinion show The Agenda Setters.
“Hutchy” will host Monday night’s edition of The Agenda Setters joined on the panel by Kane Cornes, also formerly of Footy Classified, and Nick Riewoldt.
A further episode will screen weekly on Tuesdays -both produced by SEN-owned Rainmaker productions.
Seven Network Director of Sport, Chris Jones, said “The Agenda Setters on Mondays and Tuesdays will be appointment viewing, and together with Rainmaker, we’ve assembled an incredibly experienced production team for this show to complement our unrivalled on-air lineup.
“Unfiltered on Wednesdays is going to take us behind the curtain and give fans the opportunity to learn more about the person behind the athlete. With Hamish McLachlan at the helm, viewers will be granted the best storytelling possible with the biggest and most fascinating names in the game,” he said.
“At Seven, we can’t wait to bring footy fans more content than ever before, every week of the 2025 Toyota AFL Premiership Season on Seven and 7plus.
“From mid-week footy analysis headlined by new signings Kane Cornes, Craig Hutchison and Nick Riewoldt alongside our existing group of AFL experts, to light-hearted footy content midweek, all before the first bounce on Thursday Night Footy, there has never been a more exciting time to be an AFL fan,” he said.
Hutchison said: “Seven is the home of free-to-air AFL, and has an unrivalled history, legacy and contribution to AFL football. These new shows will shape and set the agenda of the weekday discussion of football, which is at the heart of the game.
“The media and opinions around the game is the zeitgeist of what fuels Australian football, and we will bring the game’s biggest names to the table and call it as it is.
“And on a personal level, to return to Seven where I spent many years earlier in my career is an honour,” he said.

Do we know if Caroline “Caro” Wilson will be involved in any of the new 7 shows?
I believe so, but maybe not straight away due to contracts.
my question is how many of these new shows will be seen in northern states at a decent time?
these shows would be great for a digital multi channel. as a Qld based AFL Fan i don’t watch the AFL shows because they are on so late (after 11pm is not uncommon) and bcause they are on so late no one watches them, forming a vicious circle
I suspect on 7mate and 7plus much earlier than Seven in those states.
Hutchy’s an unusual talent in that I’m quite happy to listen to him on his radio programs, but can’t cop him on TV.
No biggie. Hutchy groomed the young Chris Jones back in the day. This is just a case of “you scratch my back” …
This is just plain sad to see
Hutchy literally runs his own media company and has no allegiance to Nine. What part about moving to another network as a panellist is disloyal, especially given his company will be producing for Seven unlike his position at Nine?
Why didn’t he do that with Nine & be upfront with them?? All the things Nine did for him, to just leave like that especially when All the other disloyal losers left first..
Channel 7 get your own Talent & Shows instead of stealing/taking away from other Networks including Foxtel too! Mainly taking Talent & Shows from Nine, can’t do their own crap ideas, just copying.!!
Nine stole him from 7 years ago. 7 put Caro on TV first as well. 7 is a better fit for Hutchy as he is free to produce shows for them because Eddie has that all sown up at Nine.
Actually JAM TV produces for Nine, Seven, Prime Video.
Why always blame Eddie when it’s not!? At least his Career Eddie McGuire is much more Better, Popular, Successful, Professional & Loyal than Hutchison.
Doesn’t matter if he has a production if it’s not even that good, Sorry to say but Hutchison’s things don’t rate well & his sen radio is one of the lowest rated radio station!!
So Eddie McGuire is Way Better!!
Betrayal, just like All of the other ones who left as well. All Losers & Disloyal..
Talk of betrayal sounds weird to me. This is business and the networks routinely terminate talent and staff without seemingly a second thought. Why not the other way round also? The employee / employer is a contractural business relationship. Nothing more. Nothing less. Separately, I always found it odd that the FTA AFL host network had few shows (the front bar) about the AFL whereas nine seemed to dominate in this space. Now, seven seemed to have gone from famine to feast. Perhaps this is the only way seven can counter MAFS?
