NCIS: Origins was recently given a full season order by CBS.
18 episodes will screen across the first season spin-off, currently available in Australian on 10 and Paramount+.
“NCIS: Origins has added a brilliant new dimension to the NCIS franchise with an origin story of Leroy Jethro Gibbs and a cinematic ’90s experience that features distinct characters, stories and crime solving,” said CBS Entertainment president Amy Reisenbach.
The US premiere drew 9 million viewers based on linear data and internal streaming figures from CBS.
Austin Stowell plays the younger version of Gibbs, a role originally created by Mark Harmon, while the cast also includes Kyle Schmid, Mariel Molino, Tyla Abercrumbie, Diany Rodriguez and Caleb Foote. David J. North and Gina Lucita Monreal executive produce with Mark Harmon and Sean Harmon.

It’s an origin story that they have told before, in flash backs to that time. Other than it’s just NIS at Camp Pembleton investing murders that have nothing to do with the Navy. They have done a 1000 of those and there’s nothing interesting in it.
Strongly disagree. Legit effort to stay true to the NCIS brand while being sufficiently different. IMO, it’s well executed.
