MKR best in Sunday entertainment

Tsunami doco and Nine drama A Remarkable Place to Die battle in later Sunday slot.

On Sunday My Kitchen Rules led entertainment at 1.05m viewers in National TV Audience.

That was ahead of 60 Minutes (863,000), Fisk (715,000 at 8pm), and from 7:30pm Spicks & Specks (355,000) and Dessert Masters (353,000).

Later Tsunami: The Wave that Shook the World led with 588,000 then A Remarkable Place to Die (569,000), Plum (268,000) and The Graham Norton Show (247,000 from 8pm).

Seven News was #1 at 1.2m.

Nine News averaged 1.11m with a late edition at 210,000.

ABC News was 792,000 then repeats of Grand Designs Australia (233,000) and I Was Actually There (105,000).

10 News First was 298,000 then The Sunday Project (225,000) and FBI (131,000) and FBI: International (88,000).

On SBS it was SBS World News (176,000 / 114,000), Venice from Above (174,000) and JFK Revisited: Through The Looking Glass (63,000).

  1. Your review of Remarkable was spot on, David. Pretty scenery, poorly paced writing and quite frankly, boring. 4/10 must try harder.
    Fisk was excellent as always. A real gem in Australian comedy. I hope in years to come it will be held in the same high regard as shows like Kath & Kim and Frontline. It’s wonderfully stupid!

  2. Where are all the people that wanted 10 programs to start at 7pm??? Clearly the numbers haven’t changed. Please move it back to 7:30pm. I haven’t watched since the move and judging by the ratings so have a lot is people.

    1. StephenVic – re: Spicks and Specks, a lot of people in my network tuned out after the Albo episode.

      Enjoying Dessert Masters but sometimes feels overly scripted. I started to watch A Remarkable Place to Die, but zoned out. Stunning videography but pacing is off.
