The Block wrapped a strong season for Nine last night with its annual Auction episode again dominating viewing.
The bulk of the show averaged 2.11m viewers in National TV Audience.
However Nine also coded a Winner Announced figure, although it didn’t make much difference -in preliminary numbers it rose to 2.19m viewers.
Either way it tripled the competition of Fisk (707,000 at 8pm) Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo (695,000), Spicks & Specks (329,000 at 7:30pm) and Dessert Masters (299,000).
In preliminary numbers 60 Minutes averaged 1.25m but that likely includes overrun spilled from the Block auction. The British Airways Killer was 275,000 / 218,000 then Plum (258,000).
Nine easily won Sunday with a 42.4% share to Seven’s 23.4%.
Nine News had a win at 1.23m late edition strong at 567,000.
Seven News drew 1.14m viewers.
ABC News scored 738,000. Grand Designs Australia (245,000) and I Was Actually There (138,000) followed.
10 News First was 258,000 for 10. The Sunday Project was 228,000 then The Graham Norton Show (181,000) and FBI (141,000).
SBS World News (188,000 / 120,000), then Pompeii’s Secret Underworld (147,000) and What Killed the Roman Empire? (112,000).
