Veteran actress Janet Kingsbury, best known for Play School, has died.
Born in England in 1939, she presented on 152 episodes of Play School from 1969–1986, but mostly in the early 1970s.
According to IMDb she appeared in Skippy the Bush Kangaroo in 1969 and followed with the lead role in ABC series Contrabandits then guest roles in The Rovers, Homicide, Division 4, Barrier Reef, Spyforce, Elephant Boy, Evil Touch, Silent Number and Class of ’74.
She has 30 acting credits in IMDb including The Restless Years, A Country Practice, Special Squad, Army Wives, Richmond Hill, GP, Home & Away, Murder Call, All Saints and her final credit in Doctor Doctor in 2016.
Film credits include Let the Balloon Go, Dark Age and Flashpoint.

I remember Janet well from Play School and The Restless Years. A lovely presence on screen with that well spoken, warm vibe. A versatile performer.
