Character actress Maret Archer, best known for Housos, Swift & Shift Couriers, and Pizza, has died.
She died in early September, however creator Paul Fenech posted the news on social media this week.
“Rest in peace Maret. You’ll be missed there’s no one ever in Australian TV that could play a house Aussie mum so perfectly!’
“She was a strong, funny woman with a great sense of humour, on set we all loved working with her.
“Have a good thought or prayer for her. Rest in peace Maret.”
Maret was best-known for portraying Beryl, the mother of Darren Smith (Jason Davis), in Housos. She reprised the role in Housos vs Authority and Fat Pizza vs Housos.
She also featured in Fenech’s Swift & Shift Couriers, Pizza and Footy Legends.
