  1. I still don’t think that The Bear should be chasing the win in the comedy category. I understand that the producers have put it there because it is an easier category to win, but it just isn’t a comedy show.

    1. Totally agree. I love the show but if it won no awards I’d be happy as they are taking the Mickey by being in the comedy category. The voters need to send them a message.

    1. There has been numerous occasions where the host/s have either been nominated or won
*The 39th Golden Globe Awards were hosted by Robert Preston and Linda Gray. Linda gray was nominated
*The 41st Golden Globe Awards were hosted by John Forsythe (Dynasty) and Julie Walters they both won
*The 48th Golden Globe awards were hosted by Steve Guttenberg And Dana Delaney. Dana Delaney was nominated for China Beach
*The 70th Golden Globe awards were hosted by Tina Fey and Amy Poelher were both nominated for lead actress in a comedy. They lost
*The 71th Golden Globe awards were hosted by Tina Fey and Amy Poelher. Amy Poelher won lead actress in a comedy

  2. I thought it was strange as well that Squid Game was nominated for best drama when it hasn’t even been released yet.I can’t remember that ever happening for any awards ceremony.

  3. And in addition to my previous post, Michael Urie is stuff for missing out on his absolutely scene stealing and hilarious performance in Shrinking S2.
But finally… the Penguin should win everything it is nominated for. Especially Farrell and Milioti for their performances. I’ll be astounded if it walks away with nothing. That was an example of peak television.

  4. As always there’s some strange inclusions and personally, I think some horrendous omissions. However I’m overall very happy with the noms.
Is Squid Game’s nomination in anticipation? It will still be very topical when the Globes roll around.. and the GG’s have a history of nominating who they want to turn up. They’re very flashy… but wow that’s a weird one having not aired yet. Billy Bob is killing it in Landman so I’m glad for that unexpected nod. Agatha All Along should have been nominated in place of the very weak season of Only Murders In The Building. But alas, my omissions: English Teacher and by extension Brian Jordan Alvarez missing out is a travesty, as is Josh Rivera for the middling American Sports Store: Aaron Hernandez. Where is Walton Goggins for Fallout and Renee Elise Goldsberry for Girls5Eva? No mention of What We Do In The Shadows, The Sex Lives Of College Girls or Reacher is disappointing for me too. But overall… it’s a good crop and I’m keen to see who wins.
