Deal or No Deal adds Steal the Case

10 game show adds a new twist which allows contestants to walk away with more money.

Deal or No Deal last night introduced its new “siren” a post-game addition with a Steal the Case twist.

Contestant Nancy had won $500 in the game when the siren went off in the closing minutes of the game.

This afforded her a second chance to leave with more money if she risked her $500 in order to choose just one of 11 new cases.

There were six cases between 25c and $500 and five cases from $1,000 to $50,000.

Nancy took a shot and luckily managed to turn her $500 case into $5,000, if not quite enough for the Vegas family trip she was dreaming about.

At the end of the show, the twist adds some further jeopardy directly before The Project begins, but It isn’t clear if the siren will feature in every episode.

Tonight Julia Morris and Robert Irwin feature in an episode at 6pm on 10.

  1. The poor man last night did the case steal and didn’t listen to his wife and walked away with only $250 after his wife told him to pick the case that eneded up having the 50k.

  2. I’m guessing that the siren will appear sometimes. Probably when a low offer is taken – to boost the chance of a bigger win. Or it will be used as a filler, if there’s not too much chatter from the contestant. Or both.

I didn’t mind it last night.

  3. I’m going to give DOND season 2 a real crack this year – it does get a bit yelly, but I like the contestants they pick. The Steal the Case looks like it is purely for people who bomb out and have under $1000. Would have been good for a higher stakes super case, but that could be added. TEN are so cheap

  4. So it’s essentially just the Supercase from the Seven version. I was a bit confused if that’s what the Siren was meant to be, or if that’s still coming?
