I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here is off and running for 10, drawing strong premiere numbers as the cast entered camp.
Last night it averaged 905,000 viewers in National TV Audience as the top entertainment show for Sunday.
In audience average numbers it was only eclipsed by Seven News (1.25m) and Nine News (1.22m).
That improves on 2024’s premiere (in March) of 806,000 and makes it one of 10’s better audiences across the past twelve months.
By comparison the Australian Open averaged up to 787,000 across a lengthy broadcast, and the Big Bash League was up to 661,000.
However the longer sports broadcasts and news bulletins gave Nine (28.5%) and Seven (28.3%) much bigger shares for Sunday than 10 (18.5%). ABC was fourth on 16.8%.
OzTAM survey and full ratings wraps resume later.
National Total TV: Sunday 19 January 2025.

It launches like this every year. Its 1st week is strong, then it gets wiped off the rating page by MAFS from week 2 on…
905,000 for 10 would equal 1.2m for 7 and 9, and even ABC perhaps. For some strange reason 10 just can’t get up there anymore. Now I see 7 has an hour of News from Midday. Sigh. Guess it’s because Lifetime Movies have moved to Nine. Don’t forget to set your alarms all for 3am tomorrow!
Not strange at all. Look at lead-ins and footprints.
I think 10 and even I was predicting the magic million or more, especially back in less competitive Jan and with the heavy marketing. Even a couple of tennis session averaged significantly higher than that last week. Still, it’s a very good number for these days and especially 10 and is well up year-on-year and even eclipsed the Australian Open, so they’ll take that. Looks like Seven 3rd banana, but held up okay. ABC caught by the competition. Celeb got 25-54s but interestingly the tennis won 16-39s. They were lucky an Australian wasn’t playing last night, last year de Minaur played the Sunday night and Nine scored the rare 50% metro broadcast share and 1.1m+ audience… But this scenario is happening tonight, so expect a very different story perhaps come Tuesday morning, albeit Alex doesn’t step out onto court until later in the evening, so could work nicely for 10.
