“New beginnings”: Lisa Wilkinson off 10 books

Lisa Wilkinson confirms her time at Channel Ten "has officially drawn to a close."

Lisa Wilkinson has formally departed Network 10 after more than two years off air.

She finished at The Project in 2022 but plans for new 10 projects never eventuated.

On Instagram she posted, “Now that my time at Channel Ten has officially drawn to a close (and the last couple of years have been pretty challenging), there were still plenty of good times. Here’s to 2025, and new beginnings.x”

It follows her time off air after a now-infamous Logie acceptance speech and a high-profile defamation trial which was dismissed when the court ruled that on the balance of probabilities Bruce Lehrmann raped Brittany Higgins. He has maintained his innocence and is appealing the finding.

Wilkinson is still seeking about $1.8m from Network 10 after she sought separate legal representation. With parties yet to reach agreement the matter is set to return to court in February.

Media reports have suggested her 10 contract was worth $1.7m a year, but this has never been formally verified.

Regardless, it’s clear she is now off contract, leaving just the lawyers to tie up those rather loose ends.
