With a new movie to promote it was a case of Robbie everywhere, and he's not done yet.

Anyone would think he had a new movie to promote….

Robbie Williams certainly made his presence felt on New Year’s Eve featuring on three different broadcasts in three different continents.

Williams was Live in Sydney for his music set as part of ABC’s New Year’s Eve broadcast, even counting down the final seconds of 2024 into the fireworks spectacular.

He was also on The Graham Norton Show‘s New Year’s Eve show in the UK -an annual special which is pre-recorded and will screen in Australia on 10 this Sunday night.

Meanwhile a portion of his Sydney show was replayed in the US as part of Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve hosted by Ryan Seacrest and Rita Ora. Williams is less well-known stateside, where some viewers on social media were referring to Robin Williams, but the movie should go part of the way to addressing that.

Not yet done, Williams is also making an appearance at Federation Square in Melbourne today for an interview, song and keys to the city.

ABC drew big audiences to its broadcast, claiming a record streaming day on ABC iview with over 1 million live streams of ABC TV channel.

ABC’s Head of Arts, Music and Events, Kath Earle said: “It’s always thrilling to bring the images of Sydney’s iconic New Year’s Eve fireworks and celebrations to millions of Australians and people all over the world. A huge congratulations to our partner City of Sydney for another incredible New Year’s Eve – it was without doubt a night to remember.

“And I’d like to thank everyone, especially all the ABC staff, who have worked tirelessly over the past few months to bring our audience music, fireworks, and every moment of the celebrations across ABC TV and ABC iview, ABC Radio, ABC digital and social media. A very happy new year to all!”
