I too am struggling with this series, 3 episodes totalling 210 minutes is too much.
I am persevering but after the two non eliminations last week (I’ve just see last Tuesday’s I am fading, some couples are so unappealing…

I could have sworn I’d seen this idea on air here before. But I couldn’t find any info at all, and thought I was going mad!

The 3 main networks need to focus on good local dramas, comedy and similar…the heyday of 70s, 80s and even 90s local productions are sorely missed

Yeah the best of episodes are beyond tired now. They would only work if the original episodes weren’t already repeated a dozen times every year too.

I reckon when all these restrictions ease and the pandemic is much better, hopefully very soon, Tennis Australia and Channel Nine should place the Australian Open at the start of the Ratings season all the time, everything will be better.!!

Being more of a known name I guess – more people know who she is than alot of the reality stars or influencers (a word I hate) they also get on these shows.

There’s a big campaign to keep it for our industry but, March is next week, so not looking good at the moment.

It really is good this year. Super-tight editing, pared-back interesting casting, and no obligatory roll out of every moment of every couple’s wedding, just the pertinent ones. I normally fastforward through chunks of the early episodes, but am just watching with interest, and also teared up during Brett’s dad’s speech.

There would be no chance that Chris Hemsworth would come back – I think he deeply regrets doing DWTS and from memory it nearly cost him the role of Thor. Not to mention his fees would be astronomical and he’s currently filming Thor anyway

Absolutely, I was going to say it’s not even the hardest quiz on that channel! It is more difficult than Hard Quiz, but I feel you just need to have a half decent general knowledge base and pick a stupidly specific specialty subject (e.g. Arsenal FA cup matches of the 99/00 season instead of just !Arsenal!). Only Connect requires so much lateral thinking in addition to obscure knowledge. Questions on University Challenge are also miles more difficult (wish SBS would pick it up too!)

Now, I might be completely wrong, but my understanding on this is that as she wouldn’t be talking about her conviction it’s okay for her to do something like this as it would fall under the idea of being work. The issue comes if she had a tell all interview which she got paid for. So if she went to say Sunrise and spoke about her imprisonment, then she couldn’t/shouldn’t be paid. But if she was on as part of the contract for a contestant on DWTS and spoke only about her time on the show, then she could still be paid. It’s basically so someone can still make a living, whether or not on national television, that’s another issue.

My guess is that’ll they’ll trickle feed it to us weekly to keep people from subscribing for more time rather than one month to binge watch the new content, especially first run. Thankfully I watched Love Victor last year.

Yep, I’ve given up. While it’s still recording on series link, I have 5 unwatched episodes. After hearing of intruders, and the commitment of 3 episodes a week, Sunday’s being 90mins, I lost interest and delayed catching up last week. Then upon heat of a second set of intruders arriving, I decided to give up and leave all recorded episodes unwatched. They’ve ruined the format of this show. Even the commercials for it are unwatchable. Such a shame as this show isn’t cheap to make, and 10 really need some ratings winners, and we need decent content.

I think the numbers would have been higher once a week as 7pm Sunday yes (depends what you mean by massive hit). But we are all smarter programmers in hindsight. Networks do like to stretch their production dollar but there is also a covid factor …not much could be made late last year in readiness for January.

It’s the same production team that make both versions, probably down to the same editors as well!

David, do you honestly believe this show would’ve been a massive hit if it wasn’t stripped over multiple nights?

They probably saw how my kitchen rules suffered when scheduled alongside married at first sight last year and wanted to avoid a clash against it this year.

The show isn’t trash, it’s light entertainment pitched at families and has awards and US ratings to its name. The mistake here was stripping it instead of once a week.

Would have been Sept 12th here, and from what I remember, all stations did “rolling coverage” for about 36 hours straight.
