imageThe LifeStyle channel has commissioned Village Vets Australia an observational series, revolving around country vets and friends Dr James Carroll and Dr Anthony Bennett.

To be produced by Screentime, the series follows highlights the real-life dramas of a rural veterinary practice.

Filmed across the picturesque Shoalhaven region of NSW’s South Coast,

General Manager of The LifeStyle Channels and Foxtel’s Head of Production, Duane Hatherly, said: “We’re always on the lookout for programming strands which complement our existing franchises and this locally developed show has all of the characteristics of a successful LifeStyle format.

Village Vets Australia is a series which combines expert vets, a beautiful location and plenty of community spirit. On top of the queue of cute pets, farm animals and wildlife, at its heart is the bromance between James and Anthony and as a result, we’re confident that Village Vets Australia will hit the spot.”

Drs. Carroll and Bennett said, “Working with people’s pets and animals from the farm to the paddock, there’s never a dull moment in our job.

“We’re thrilled to be able to share with Australia the beautiful towns of Berry, Kangaroo Valley and Shoalhaven Heads and the wonderful people and animals that we have the privilege of working with every day.”

Screentime Head of Factual and Executive Producer, Simon Steel, said: “With their knockabout sense of humour and genuine concern for their clients and animals, we are positive Australia will fall in love with James and Anthony, just as we have.”

Production commences in March.
