Bonnie Lythgoe defends Cliff Richard

"This is a man who is totally innocent. He hasn't done anything wrong," says choreographer and friend.

Former So You Think You Can Dance star Bonnie Lythgoe defends Cliff Richard in the wake of a police investigation -but no charges.

She told Studio 10 today the allegations which have led to police investigation involved an inadvertent exposure in a bathroom during the 1980s.

“It is totally untrue. I know Cliff so well… he is so upset,” she said.

“They raided his home, they took everything … he had no idea.

“There was press everywhere, and this is a man who is totally innocent. He hasn’t done anything wrong.

“It’s so unfair.

“Cliff has never seen this person. He doesn’t know who this person is. That’s the sadness of all of this, that Cliff will never know who this person is.”

Richard has co-operated with police investigations, despite no charges being laid, and has vowed to clear his name.
