Sydney Cricket Ground stood still to remember the late Studio 10 reporter and his partner last night.

The AFL paid tribute to Jesse Baird, who worked as a goal umpire for the sport in addition to his media career, as their 2024 season kicked off last night in Sydney.
It was very generous for the AFL to also remember his partner Luke Davies in the joint tribute.

THis is very emotional to watch – so sad that Luke and Jesse’s lives got cut short.
And all players of both teams were wearing rare double black arm bands (also for the late great Ron Barassi).
