Next month CMC will again be screening the America’s biggest night of country music, the 50th CMA Awards.

Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood will host a three hour live event.

Sarah Trahern, CMA Chief Executive Officer, said: “I am very excited about this year’s list of nominees. We have artists who received their first CMA Awards nominations decades ago alongside first-timers; we have critically-acclaimed songwriters and artists who have reset the bar for Country Music. This is going to be an exciting year in addition to celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the CMA Awards.”

Direct from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee, Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood return to host the highly anticipated event on the Country Music calendar, where the biggest names in Country Music will gather to honour the best performers, songwriters, record producers and music video directors of the past year.

Superstar Dolly Parton will be the 2016 recipient of the Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award, which will be presented during The 50th Annual CMA Awards. The Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award is for an iconic artist who has attained the highest degree of recognition in Country Music.

The 50th Annual CMA Awards will feature a star-studded lineup of artists performing including Keith Urban, Garth Brooks with Trisha Yearwood, Luke Bryan, Florida Georgia Line, Tim McGraw, Miranda Lambert, Dierks Bentley, Eric Church, Maren Morris, Kelsea Ballerini, Kacey Musgraves, Little Big Town and in addition to their hosting duties, both Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood will perform on the night also.

The stellar line-up of finalists for The 50th Annual CMA Awards represent the depth and range of Country Music over the past five decades from soulful traditionalists to contemporary ground-breakers. Eric Church, Maren Morris and Chris Stapleton top the list for nominees for The 50th Annual CMA Awards with five nominations each. Dierks Bentley, Carrie Underwood and Keith Urban received four nominations and Tim McGraw received three nominations. Artists who received two nominations include Kelsea Ballerini, Luke Bryan, Cam, Old Dominion, Brothers Osborne and Thomas Rhett.

Vying for the coveted ‘Entertainer of the Year Award’ includes nominees Garth Brooks, Luke Bryan, Chris Stapleton, Carrie Underwood and Keith Urban.
