Peter ‘Sterlo’ Sterling will reportedly quit Nine’s NRL commentary team at the end of this season, ending some 3 decades with the broadcaster.
The Sunday Telegraph reports he has informed management of his decision to exit after the grand final.
The article suggests Nine is looking towards a younger team, and speculation around the future of Wally Lewis and Ray Warren. It favours Joey Johns, Freddy Fittler, Billy Slater, Paul Gallen and Cameron Smith.
Sterling first started with Nine in 1992.
