Nine’s Christmas ratings not enough to halt Seven

Carols by Candlelight gave Nine one of the biggest shares of the year, but Seven still won the week.

Carols by Candlelight pulled the biggest audience of last week at 961,000 viewers, delivering a massive 47.2% share for the night -that’s one of the biggest of the year.

Yet it still wasn’t enough to halt Seven from winning the week.

Meanwhile on Christmas night ABC outranked both Nine and 10 with the Royal Variety Performance winning its early evening slot.

Seven led on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Nine claimed Wednesday and Friday. ABC bettered Nine and 10 on Saturday, plus 10 on Wednesday, Thursday & Friday.

Seven won all cities except Sydney, held by Nine.
