The Power of the Dog tops Oscar nominations
Jane Campion's Netflix film tops nominations including Best Film and acting nods for Benedict Cumberbatch & Kodi Smit-McPhee.

Jane Campion’s Netflix film The Power of the Dog has topped Academy Award nominations today with 12 nominations.
Jane Campion became the first woman to earn two best director nods, and was also nominated in the best adapted screenplay category. In addition to Best Film, there were nods for Benedict Cumberbatch, Jesse Plemons, Kirsten Dunst and hot favourite, Aussie Kodi Smit-McPhee.

Nicole Kidman landed a Best Actress nomination for Amazon Prime Video’s Being the Ricardos alongside Javier Bardem and J.K. Simmons.
Andrew Garfield scored a Best Actor nod for Tick, Tick … Boom!
Amongst other streaming films nominated were Don’t Look Up, The Tragedy of Macbeth, The Lost Daughter and Luca.
The 94th Academy Awards will air Live on Seven on Monday, March 28.
