… that clip in the news item with Michael McRae and Ross Symonds looking like a pair of mis-matched penguins was from the all-singing, all-dancing WIN 21st birthday spectacular which was televised in 1983 … it is most well-remembered for the backstage punch-up when a certain invited former star was informed that his appearance had been cut because the program was running too long! … later that year I had to fly to Melbourne and don a tux to pick up a regional Penguin Award for the show … and compared to all that, the 60th birthday gets a two-minute news item and a two-line write-up in TV Tonight … sigh …
A picture paints a thousand words. If you google, you’ll find I’m probably the only media that has covered, and on a weekend, no paywall.
… yep David … exactly what I mean …
Their motto should be ,” win news, the only Australian news service that doesn’t upload its full bulletins online”
I honestly thought that was a screen shot of Frontline ,I couldn’t believe my eyes.
