Geek, Travel Guides push Nine to Wednesday win.

Gruen leads entertainment. Neighbours hits a recent high for its penultimate broadcast.

ABC’s 7:30 won its early evening slot last night at 535,000 metro viewers.

That was followed by Gruen (510,000),  Beauty & the Geek (474,000), Brain Eisteddfod (380,000), an early edition of Better Homes & Gardens (297,000),

Later Mad as Hell won at 489,000 then Travel Guides (451,000) but other offers were all low numbers with Ghosts (226,000), Aftertaste (185,000) and An Audience with Adele (169,000).

Nine network won Wednesday with 30.7% then Seven 23.6%, 10 18.5%, ABC 18.1% and SBS 9.1%.

Nine News was 847,000 / 845,000 for Nine. A Current Affair won at 675,000. Hot Seat was 427,000 / 258,000. Footy Classified was 117,000 across the network.

Seven News was 31 at 882,000 / 860,000 for Seven. The Chase won at 488,000 / 290,000.

The Project drew 326,000 / 239,000. 10 News First was 282,000 / 224,000. The Secrets She Keeps replay was 85,000.

ABC News was 606,000. The Last Leg (146,000) and The Drum (158,000) followed.

On SBS it was SBS World News (142,000 / 110,000), New York: The City That Never Sleeps (138,000), Jack the Ripper (92,000), Too Close (58,000), Tour de France: Femmes (50,000) and The Cook Up with Adam Liaw (43,000).

Neighbours led multichannels at a recent high of 163,000 and bringing 10 Peach a 5% share.

News Breakfast: 100,000 / 60,000

  1. I love that Gruen’s “The Pitch” segment included a spot celebrating how high brow the ABC is, which then led into a Mad As Hell sketch on the Prime Minister’s id. You don’t get much more high brow, or hilarious, than that.
