Samantha Armytage is joining Seven’s racing coverage, set to feature in The Big Dance at Randwick, alongside Bruce McAvaney next Tuesday.
CEO James Warburton told TV Tonight, “She’s part of the mix, interviewing all of the trainers, doing some behind the scenes stuff and part of the core race coverage.”
Also featuring are Jason Richardson, Emily Bosson while Jess Bott.
The Big Dance boasts a field of the best Country Cup winners and second-placed thoroughbreds, from 25 selected races across regional New South Wales, racing for the $2 million prize money.

Is there usually competing racing coverage on anther channel on Melbourne Cup Day?
Apparently.
Not usually. The races at Randwick are only covered on Sky Racing, so this is a first for FTA TV.
They usually have a meeting at Randwick on Melbourne Cup day.
The Big Dance? What is that…Is it a dancing contest? Oh its a horse race, isn’t that already on Channel 10… Never not likely to watch it.
