Acorn TV has released the trailer for Christmas themed special of UK crime drama The Madame Blanc Mysteries.

The episode will premiere as a preview of the series’ season 2, which will launch in 2023.

Created by and starring popular UK actress Sally Lindsay (Mount Pleasant, Cold Call), the cozy Acorn TV Original series follows renowned antiques dealer Jean White (Lindsay), whose expertise of priceless objects proves the key to help local police investigate and solve a series of murders and mysteries against the backdrop of her new home – the beautiful French village of Saint Victoire. Fresh from surviving an attempt on her life and helping identify the murder of her late husband, Jean is eagerly looking forward to the twinkling lights and singing choirs of Christmas in Saint Victoire with her new friends. However Jean comes to the aid of Chief of Police, Andre Caron (Alex Gaumond, The Syndicate), who finds himself on the other side of the interview table as he is accused of murdering his wife. Caron begs Jean to clear his name and she is quickly pulled into the world of international art dealing, where all is not what it seems. Can Jean save Caron and bring the real murderer to justice?

The Madame Blanc Mysteries co-stars the series co-writer Sue Vincent (Mount Pleasant, Shameless) as Jean’s friend Gloria, Steve Edge (Cruella, Murder They Hope) as Jean’s close friend and local cabbie Dom, Sue Holderness (Only Fools and Horses) as flirtatious, local gossip purveyor Judith, and Robin Askwith (Confessions) as Jeremy, Judith’s adoring husband.
