  1. They will go the way of the Foxtel Now box, redundant and before that happens , there will be no updates for them, like what happened with the Now box , meaning many streaming apps wouldn’t work on the box

  2. Still waiting to be able to download content offline, their website still says it’s something they’re “working hard to make it happen soon”

  3. David your story doesn’t mention the price increase fro $18 to $22 from the email I received.

Honestly my eyes can’t notice 4k over HD and who wants that foreign news dribble. So I get to pay $4 more per month and get nothing out of it.

  4. And a $2 price rise to go with it. At $18 it’s on the higher end but mainly due to HBO content it’s probably the only service I keep all year round.

  5. Probably we wouldn’t have the answer for this, but if 4K is made available on Binge or Kayo in the future, what would be the reason to take Foxtel residential boxes? I know no-one’s been taking it up anymore for a while, but wasn’t the IQ boxes marketed as the premium experience? What’s so premium about them anymore – rather are Foxtel stopping selling them now as I can’t really see a point. And with the Aussie version of Sky Glass on the horizon, would Foxtel new TVs have these apps in 4k or simply Foxtel packages?
