Sunday was a big day of news and sport and a winner for Nine.

Sunday was a big day of news and sporting events, with viewers tuning into morning programming following events in the USA.
Insiders pulled 565,000 viewers in National TV Audience, up slightly on 552,000 last week. But Weekend Sunrise was 442,000 up on last week’s 354,000 while Seven’s Morning Show was 356,000, up from 199,000. Weekend Today was 334,000, up from 290,000.
In primetime, Nine News was #1 at 1.43m, helping the network to win Sunday, just ahead of Seven News (1.42m).
Travel Guides topped entertainment at 1.26m. That was ahead of Dancing with the Stars (927,000) then from 7:30pm MasterChef Australia (678,000), Spicks & Specks (659,000) and Austin (404,000).
Later 60 Minutes led with a high 1.12m. After 8:30pm were 7News Spotlight (477,000) and Ladies in Black (322,000)
Wimbledon drew 431,000 / 337,000 with Tour de France at 257,000.
Elsewhere The Latest on Seven was 315,000, while Nine’s Footy Furnace was 269,000 where it screened.
ABC News averaged 872,000. Antiques Roadshow (346,000) and The Split (177,000) followed.
10 News First (333,000 / 269,000) eclipsed The Sunday Project (326,000) with Tulsa King at 163,000. 129,000.
On SBS it was SBS World News (243,000 / 156,000), and Paris Hotel de Ville: A Masterpiece (117,000).

It was definitely a unique Sunday in Australia with world events probably bringing more people to watch television…
