Canada picks up Austin

ABC comedy Austin has been picked up by Canadian public broadcaster CBC, to screen from mid October.

Produced by Northern Pictures and Lincoln Pictures, the comedy stars Ben Miller, Sally Phillips and Michael Theo as a neuro-divergent son from a long-forgotten dalliance.

The cast also includes Gia Carides and Roy Billing.

It was recently picked up by BBC and was confirmed to be in development for a second season with ABC.

ITV Studios are distributors on the title.
