Korean-born, Aussie-trained Yerin Ha will play Sophie Baek who meets Benedict Bridgerton at a masquerade ball.

NIDA graduate Yerin Ha (Bad Behaviour, Troppo, Dune: Prophecy, Halo) has been cast as the lead in Bridgerton Season 4.

Korean-born Ha, named as a rising star by the Casting Guild of Australia in 2021, will play Sophie Baek. She was part of Sydney Theatre Company’s Lord of the Flies alongside Mia Wasikowska. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in acting, majoring in Musical Theatre from Sydney’s National Institute of Dramatic Art.

In Season 4, Sophie Baek has been forced to spend much of her life working as a maid for the most demanding employer in the ton. But the resourceful Sophie always finds a way to persevere through her circumstances -circumstances which will drastically change after she disguises herself to attend Violet Bridgerton’s masquerade ball and meets Benedict Bridgerton.

The fourth season of Bridgerton turns its focus to bohemian second son Benedict (Luke Thompson). Despite his elder and younger brothers both being happily married, Benedict is loath to settle down — until he meets a captivating Lady in Silver at his mother’s masquerade ball.
