The Block hit a season high last night and was the #1 programme at 1.29m in National TV Audience.
That was ahead of The Voice at 1.05m. New ABC drama Return to Paradise is off to a strong start (838,000 at 7:30pm) while Hunted wrapped on 583,000 for 10.
60 Minutes Elle Macpherson interview was a winner at 852,000 defeating 7News Spotlight‘s James Packer interview (788,000). Unforgotten drew 522,000 for ABC.
Just 0.1% split the two top networks, with Seven maintaining the edge, perhaps due to its multichannels.
Seven News was 1.28m. The Latest pulled 358,000.
Nine News was also 1.28m with Paralympics at 332,000 / 167,000 / 140,000.
ABC News averaged 847,000. Compass (265,000), Antiques Roadshow (253,000), The Queen & Us (183,000) followed.
10 News First was 325,000 for 10 then The Project (276,000) and FBI (214,000 / 170,000).
On SBS it was SBS World News (230,000 / 176,000), The Ottoman Empire by Train (175,000), 9/11 Four Flights (137,000).

I thought it would be good to see Tracey Grimshaw back on tv but as soon as the mention of promoting a book or book tour whatever it was supposed to be I switched over. To me the cancer part had shades of Bell Gibson and her holistic approach to cancer and promoting her books. At least Olivia Newton John approached her cancer completely different. She did something worth while for women with breast cancer to promote…not promote herself or a book.
Started watching the Elle interview which was good but switched to the Packer interview and stayed with it. Was a great interview and rare to find someone like him to be so open and honest. Had a Lot of sympathy for him but wow !! that boat and location though !!!
“Seven News won its slot at 1.28m. Nine News was 1.28m” ?
Both were rounded to 1.28m, which occurs over 1m, although Seven was ever so slightly higher. I’ve adjusted copy.
Oh, OK. Thanks for the explanation.
